Reserve Bank Latest News: Many types of guidelines are given to banks by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), whichever bank does not follow the rules, their license is canceled. Money is distributed by the government to the customers of banks who have canceled the license.

Reserve Bank Of India:  Many types of guidelines are given to the banks by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), those who do not follow the bank rules, their license is cancelled. Instructions are issued by RBI to run the banking system well across the country. Recently, RBI has canceled the license of many banks. 

Money is given to
the customers, the money is distributed by the government to the customers of the banks whose licenses have been cancelled, so that there is minimum loss to the customers of the bank. Recently, the Reserve Bank had canceled the license of Babaji Date Mahila Sahakari Bank Limited of Maharashtra, after which the money is being distributed to the customers. 

Rs 8,516.6 crore has been done.
In case of cancellation of Clays Bank's license, depositors are given insurance amount under Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation ie DICGC. According to statistics, claims of Rs 8,516.6 crore have been taken under DICGC during 2021-22.

Relief to lakhs of depositors
Let us tell you that 12.94 lakh depositors have got relief through this amount. Explain that all commercial banks including branches of foreign banks, local area banks, regional rural banks, small finance banks and payments banks come under this purview. DICGC, a wholly owned subsidiary of RBI, provides insurance cover on bank deposits. 

The amount was increased by the government in 2020 The
central government had increased the insurance cover on deposits by five times to Rs 5 lakh in 2020 to reduce the loss of customers. Earlier this amount was only Rs 1 lakh.
